MMC-XMLTV Guide:
Ich besaß eine ATI All-in-Wonder Grafikkarte, die einen Fernsehtuner beinhaltet. Das Programm, mit dem ich ferngesehen habe, das Multimedia Center von ATI, ist an und für sich eine gute Software. So ermöglicht sie u.a. die Anzeige der aktuell laufenden Sendung mit Hilfe des Zusatzprogrammes Gemstar Guide+. Dieses liefert nun aber nur das Fern- sehprogramm für Nordamerika.
Also habe ich mich hingesetzt und einen Ersatz basierend auf dem XMLTV-Projekt pro- grammiert, der u.a. auch deutsche Programme (sowie die vieler anderer europäischer und nordamerikanischer Länder) berücksichtigt.
Diese Software funktioniert inzwischen auch zufriedenstellend und deswegen würde ich sie gerne zum kostenlosen Download anbieten. Ich muss allerdings vorher noch abklä- ren, ob dies rechtlich so ohne weiteres möglich ist, deswegen kann das noch ein wenig dauern...

I owned a ATI All-in-Wonder graphics adapter with a TV tuner onboard. The software I used to watch television is the Multimedia Center by ATI, which is very good in my opinion. It, among other things, shows the title of the programmes currently running. But it additionally needs a software called Gemstar Guide+, which has the great disadvantage that it only works for North-American broadcasting stations.
So I decided to develop a replacement for it, based on the XMLTV project, which allows to use the programme listings of the broadcasting stations of most European countries (and, of course, the North-American too).
This software now works quiet well. So I'd like to publish it here to download for free. But there might be some legal problems concerning the replacement of a foreign software and so this may take a while...
